Announcements Sunday 25th June 2023

Thank you to Lincoln who is conducting the service today,  It has been great having him as part of our faith family over the past month or so.  Wishing him every blessing as he moves to First Portadown PC next week for ‘part 2’ of his time in Ireland.

Service next Sunday will be conducted by Rev Philip Poots.  Some of the members of the Newmills team will also be sharing in our worship.

Holiday Bible Club 2023 @ Greeenbank from 3rd – 7th July 6-8pm: We are pleased to confirm that the folk from Newmills will be joining us again this year for our Holiday Bible Club. This is for children aged 4-12 years to attend and enjoy but we would love if some of our own folk would be able to help out during the week. Please speak to Philip if you can help out.

Please do invite people …we hope to use HBC as a great way of connecting and reconnecting with young families.

Members of the team will arrive next Saturday evening and there will be the usual BBQ to welcome the team at Hillhead at around 6pm.

Joint Family Service after HBC on Sunday 9th July, Greenbank Hall @ 12 noon  following our holiday bible club we are going to have a joint family service in Greenbank hall, incorporating some of the excitement of HBC into our service. We have to have some treats after the service as well!

The Handbell Ringers and Singers Tour Performance:  tomorrow evening (Monday 26th June) @ 6:30pm in the Methodist Hall.

Youth Ministry Discussion and Garda Vetting:

Following on from recent meeting, if anyone would like/needs to be Garda Vetted in preparation for a new church year of activities please let Philip know asap – included in this will be the necessity to attend “Taking Care” child protection training.

Good as New Shop:  The Good as New Shop (in aid of church funds) continues until the end of the month at Pound St. Carndonagh (next door to Neal Doherty Auctioneers in Carndonagh).  The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.  Thank you to all who have been helping out with the shop and for the donations of the many items to sell in the shop. It is much appreciated.
