Social-thank you to all involved in organising the social on Friday night  which was in aid of the Cancer bus to Galway. Thanks also to those who provided food for the supper and came along to help out. Your help and support is much appreaciated.

Good as New Shop: The Good as new Shop (in the Diamond beside AIB Bank) will open tomorrow – Monday 23rd April and to run it till the end of June.  This effort is a main fundraiser for the Church.  The shop will be open Monday-Saturday from 10am 5pm with morning session from 10-1.30pm and afternoon session from 1.30-5pm.  It has become more difficult in recent years to ensure that all the sessions are covered at the shop each week.  If you are unable to do a regular session-please consider providing cover for an occasional session or sharing a session with someone as this would be very helpful.  Donations of clothing and items to sell in the shop are also required.  Thank you.

Blood Donors needed in Carndonagh. The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will be at Carndonagh Community School on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th April from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Moderator’s East Africa Appeal

The Moderator, Rt. Rev. Dr. Frank Sellar, launched a church-wide special appeal to support the international relief effort in East Africa, following the worst drought to hit the region in over half a century. Parts of South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia have suffered two seasons of prolonged dry spells and crop failures leaving a shocking 16 million people at risk of food shortages. The Church has released an initial £60,000 to be distributed to PCI’s partners, Christian Aid, Tearfund and the Presbyterian Church of South Sudan’s Relief and Development Agency (PRDA). All are already engaged in longer term sustainable development work in the affected regions, and all are now well-placed to direct additional efforts to the unfolding crisis. Despite this challenging situation, these agencies and the PRDA will ensure that contributions are used wisely in the provision of immediate relief of those struggling the most in East Africa

There will be a collection for this appeal today.  Please place your donation on the offering plate. Thank You
