Thanks from Philip – Philip would like to thank everyone who called, text, phoned, dropped off packages when he had Covid for the second time, it was immensely appreciated. 

Youth Fellowship at the Manse, tonight @ 7pm: We have finished our programme for the year but will continue to meet together for some time of food and fellowship together for the next few weeks

Midweek Bible Study at the Manse 29th June at 8pm – This will be our last Bible study before annual leave and we will take this time to reflect on our journey through Philippians as we finish off the book. Everyone welcome from 7:30pm and we aim to start at 8pm. Please come hungry as we will have some extra treats to round off our time together. 

Holiday Bible Club, Monday 4th to Friday 8th July: we look forward to having the team from Newmills up to help lead our Holiday Bible Club at Greenbank Hall.  The team will arrive next Saturday evening at approximately 6pm.  There will be a BBQ at the Church Hall at Hillhead to welcome the team. Please do let Philip know if you can help out with this and our latest group of communicants are encouraged to get in touch with him to help out. Registration forms are available on the Inishowen Four website and from Philip directly.

Annual Leave – Philip will be off on annual leave from the 11th July to 7th August. Pastoral cover will be provided by Revs Russell Edgar, Alastair Rosborough, and Lindsay Blair. Their contact details will be given to the elders and if you have need of a minister then please contact an elder. 

Vacancy Convenor – from his return from annual leave Philip will be taking up post as convenor of the vacancy for Fahan. His hope is that this will not take away from his dedication to his primary concern of Greenbank, Moville, Carndonagh and Malin but will appreciate the continued help and support (especially in prayer) of the congregation as he balances this increased workload.

COVID-19 again: Philip is currently isolating with COVID-19 again but is available on the phone should anyone need him.

General AssemblyThis is the week of the General Assembly which can be viewed online from the opening ceremony on Wednesday Evening through to the close of business on Saturday. Provided he is feeling up to it and COVID-19 clear Philip will hopefully be attending some of the latter days.

Youth Fellowship at the Manse, next Sunday 26th June @ 7pm: We have finished our programme for the year but will continue to meet together for some fun and fellowship for the next few weeks, aiming to finish up for the summer on the 10th July with probably a bbq!

The Passing of John Cunningham: It is with sadness we have to announce the passing of John Cunningham, elder of Carndonagh Presbyterian Church. John passed away on Wednesday after his long courageous battle with illness. Please do remember his family circle in your prayers over the difficult time of grief that lies ahead.

Midweek Book Study this Wednesday 15th June @ 8pm. Meeting at Howard and Helen’s home this week as we continue working our way through Bryan Chapell’s book, ‘Unlimited Grace.’ Questions and copies of the book are available from Philip.

In-Service Training for Philip: Philip will be off from the 9th to the 15th May (inclusive) at in-service training. Every year for the first year after ordination ministers are required to attend and be involved in training. During this time ministers are expected to be free from usual duties to participate. Rev Alastair Rosborough will provide pastoral cover while Philip is away.

Midweek Prayer and Fellowship, 11th  May @ 8pm: With Philip being away this week, midweek won’t run in its normal form, however there will be an evening of prayer and fellowship at James and Kathleen Steele’s

For anyone who can’t attend this Sunday, there is also the second option of Tuesday 12th April at 4:30pm at the Manse.

Midweek Bible Study Time at the Moville Manse, this Wednesday 13th April @ 8pm: Everyone welcome from 7:30pm, tea/coffee and some treats available. Questions are available from Philip, please email, text or phone and he will get those to you.

Easter Sunday Evening Singing Group Practice this Thursday 14th April @ 7pm: Our last Thursday singing group practice before our Easter Praise Service if you can’t get along to these practices please do check out the videos on our Facebook page. For those helping out musically on Sunday, Philip will be at Greenbank Hall from 5/5:30pm on Sunday evening.

Easter Sunday Evening Celebration Praise Joint Service next Sunday 17th April @ 7pm: Easter Sunday evening we will be having a joint evening service together in Greenbank Hall with a time of fellowship afterwards. Please do invite others as we enjoy this time of worshipping together.

Younger Youth Activities: Please do make yourself known if you or someone you know would be keen at volunteering to help out as we try to get some of our younger youth activities going again.


Easing of Restrictions: In accordance now with PCI guidelines, face coverings can now be removed for the whole service including singing. However, please feel free to wear your face covering as you see fit and feel comfortable with and please be considerate to others with whatever decision you make.
