TOUR DE FOYLE  1080:  Community Challenge

Church Leaders invite you to join them on the Tour de Foyle 1080

The countdown is on as leaders of the city’s four main churches invite people to get on their bikes or put on their walking/running shoes for the Tour de Foyle 1080 Charity Event, which will begin at the Foyle Arena on Saturday 26th August.

The event is being organised jointly by The Churches Trust and the North West Methodist Mission, and is supported by church leaders in Derry-Londonderry.  Now in its fourth year, the event has attracted participants from far and wide, and organisers hope this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever.
The event caters for all with three aspects to choose from:  10k Walk: 10k Run: 80k Cycle

Registration details for the walk/run/cycle can be found on the website:www.tourdefoyle.co.uk .  So book early to avoid disappointment. 

Cottage Youth @ Issys.

On Friday 26th August at 8pm we’re having a Fun Games Night followed by a Barbeque. This would a great night for anyone who would like to join our Youth in a fun, fellowship atmosphere. JESUS AT THE BEACH – will take place this afternoon at 4pm at Culdaff Beach Car Park  (beside Culdaff FC). This is an All Age Worship Service organised and lead by the youth in Inishowen. announcements sunday 2nd July 2017

 A very warm welcome back to Rev Gordon Best and the team from Newmills who will be here for the week to lead the SunSpark Labs Holiday Bible Club which will be held in Greenbank Hall starting tomorrow evening from 6.00 to 8pm and running through till Friday.

Children of primary school age are invited to come along and enjoy stories, singing, quizzes, drama, puppets, crafts, games and refreshments. . Admission is free. On Friday 7th July at 8-8.30pm all parents & family are invited to come along & find out about what the children have been doing during the week.  A bus will run from Malin-leaving Malin at 5.20pm with pick up points in Carndonagh at Council offices and girls National school at 5.30pm.

The team would be grateful for any help, so if anyone would like to help alongside the team, then please speak to Stewart or Kathleen Steele (074 9383348)

 A time of prayer for the Holiday Bible Club will take place upstairs in Greenbank hall each evening (Monday – Thursday 3rd – 6th July  at 7:30 p.m)

 

 BBQ: Thank you to all who came along to BBQ yesterday evening.  Thanks to those who set up and prepared the food and to those who provided for the BBQ.

Country Gospel Concert in St Columb’s Church of Ireland, Moville at 7:00 p.m. tonight with Rev David McBeth and Ryan Turner. This is a fundraising event for the church spire and you may contribute a donation via the offering plate.

Service next Sunday will be conducted by Rev Gordon Best with members of the Newmills team sharing in our worship.

SunSpark Labs Holiday Bible Club will be held in Greenbank Hall from Monday 3rd July to Friday 7th July each evening starting at 6pm to 8pm.

Cottage Youth Fellowship.(Young people of Secondary School age)  Meeting at Issys Cottage this evening at 6:30pm, it is planned to have a BBQ, ‘a hunt’ and some group fun. €2.  Take a friend if you wish.

JOURNEY @ IGNITE VENUE BONAGEE LETTERKENNY ON SATURDAY 24TH JUNE 8:30 till 11:30

Come along and journey with us this night, to hear the stories of people’s  plans for the summer ahead and how God is using their lives. Bring a few mates who you know have tons of useless knowledge but would do well in a quiz or 2.  Come along and worship with us, have fun with us and to journey together with us in God’s word and to see and hear what his plans are for your life, this summer and even beyond!

CONNECT @ Ignite Venue, Bonagee, Letterkenny next  Saturday 10th June, 8:30pm till 11:30pm. A night that will be filled with fun and a great time of worship and to hear what God wants to say to our hearts. A night to meet new faces and also familiar faces, a night to connect with other Christians locally. So come along and join in on this time of fun and fellowship, it could be the start of something new and something exciting. Our Cafe will be serving food, and the tea/Coffee is free all night.

There will be an evening on basic use of defibrillator and CPR in the Colgan Hall tomorrow night at 8pm.  This is open to everyone and after this those who wish can avail of more comprehensive training
