announcements sunday 24th May

Committee Meeting (Carndonagh ) will be held on Tuesday evening (26th May ) at 8pm

Mid week bible study will take place in the Manse on Wednesday evening at 8pm

 Carndonagh & Malin Youth Club will meet in Malin Church Hall next Friday 29th May from 7.30-9.30pm.  It is planned to do up the window boxes that were made at the woodcraft session earlier in the year.  Parents very welcome to come along also.  The completed window boxes will be available to purchase with proceeds going to Youth Club funds

Cresendo Community Choir are holding a concert in Glencrow Hall Moville next Thursday 28th May at 8.30pm.  Their repertoire includes songs by Abba, Beatles, Pink & Ben E King.  Admission €5. Proceeds in aid of Moville church funds.

 A Memorial service for the late Willie Cunningham, Melbourne (formerly of Collon Hill) will be held in Hillhead Presbyterian Church this Wednesday 22nd April at 6.30pm.

There will be a Congregational Meeting tomorrow evening at 8:00 pm in Hillhead Presbyterian Church. The purpose of this meeting is to decide on the removal of part of the third pew from the back on the right side of the church, in order to facilitate wheelchair users. If anyone has any objections, they are asked to given them, in writing, to Linda Stewart by today.

The Good As New Shop will be opening next Monday 27th April beside AIB bank in the diamond Carndonagh.  It is planned to set up the shop next Friday (24th) evening from 6.30pm.   If you can support the running of the shop in any way-your help would be greatly appreciated.

A Taking Care Foundation Training Event has been arranged for Tuesday 28th April at 7.30pm in Glendermott Presbyterian Church.  This training is for new leaders or for those who have never attended training sessions before.  There is no need to register in advance for this.

Derry & Donegal Presbytery Choir invite you to a Charity Praise Evening tonight  at 7:30 p.m. in the Makemie Church Hall, Ramelton, followed by a supper. Money raised will go to the Paediatric Patients & Families Comfort Fund of Letterkenny General Hospital.

The death has taken place in Melbourne Australia of Willie Cunningham formerly of Collon Hill.  Interment will take place in Melbourne, Australia on Tuesday. Our sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with the Cunningham family at this sad time. A memorial service will be held in Hillhead Presbyterian Church on Wednesday 22nd April at 6.30pm

A ‘Celebration of Easter’ Praise service will be held in Greenbank church Hall on this evening at 7.30pm. Music will be led by members of the 4 congregations with readings, poetry and reflections.  Light refreshments will be served after the service. There will be a retiring offering in aid of Lismacarrol Mission Hall Limavady and for the children of Romania, Moldova & Ukraine.  Everyone very welcome.

Londonderry Gospel Male Voice Choir invite you to an Annual Praise Festival in Kilfennan Presbyterian Church next Saturday 11th Apr at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker is Pastor Harold Chambers from Ballymena, with guest soloist Sophie Shiels.

Sharing of roles & responsibilities

Following on from discussion at previous session meeting with regard to sharing of roles and responsibilities for preparation for Sunday worship it is now planned to devise a rota for a number of roles. A few people have already volunteered and everyone is encouraged to consider taking on a role/duty.  If you are interested in the following:

Reading:–Speak to Austin

Opening/closing church: Speak to Norman

Taking up the Collection: Speak to David.

The mission Plan is currently being reviewed and updated.

The proposed Songs of Praise-hymns Old & New will now be held in the Autumn

The youth club will meet on Friday night this week in Malin Church Hall from 7.30-9.30pm

St Patrick’s Day teas will be served in Moville Methodist Hall Moville on Tuesday from 3-5pm. Proceeds will be divided between the Jamaica National Children’s home, a water project in Sri Lanka, and the Inishowen Methodist Churches
