The Stewart Family appreciate the support and prayers afforded to the family by the members of this Church during  this past and recent weeks during  the journey with our Mum in Hospital and in her passing. We thank everyone who called at the home, brought food, sent cards, offered practical help and attended the funeral on Friday. A special thanks to those who organised and helped in so many ways with the Funeral Service on Friday and in the provision and serving of the food in the hall. The family are truly blessed by your kindness.

The Linkage commission will meet each of the 4 congregations separately in Greenbank in September—proposed date is Friday 7^th Sept. (4.15pm for Hillhead).  Representation will include the Kirk session and up to 6 members of committee.  Any member of committee willing to attend please let a member of session know. There will be a short meeting of committee following the service next Sunday 26^th August to finalise arrangements.

A united church event for the North West.  A day where people and families from all churches and backgrounds can come together have fun, food, fellowship and end the day of activities with a time of worship and praise to God Activities will include: Bouncy castle, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Volleyball, other beach activities, BBQ, Face-painting, Campfire, DJ, Food stands and more. There is no admission fee or tickets that need to be bought however food will have a fee and there will be donation buckets around the beach on the day itself. A very warm welcome back to Gordon and the team from Newmills to our children’s service to day.  We are delighted to see you all again.

They will be leading the Holiday Bible Club (Sonworld Adventure park) at Greenbank starting tomorrow evening (Monday 2^nd July) to Friday (6^th July ) from 6-8pm each evening.  This is for children of primary school age and will include singing. Stories, crafts, puppets, games & drama.  A bus will run from Malin-details are in circulation.  Registration forms are available today (please speak to Kathleen )

Thank you to all who came along to the BBQ yesterday evening and to meet the team.  Many thanks to those who provided and prepared the food.  Your help is much appreciated.  The weather was splendid for the BBQ and all enjoyed the evening.

Children’s Day Service next Sunday 1^st July will be conducted by Rev Gordon Best.  There will be a collection in aid of the Children’s Society.

Holiday Bible Club at Greenbank from Monday 2^nd July to Friday 6^th July from 6-8pm each evening with Rev Gordon Best and New mills team.  This is for children of primary school age.  A bus will run from Malin.  There will be a BBQ at Hillhead Hall next Sat 30^th at around 6pm to welcome the team.  All welcome to come along,
