Membership / Communicant Classes:

Philip has had folks talk to him recently about membership/communicant classes and he envisages starting these in the New Year. These classes will be for anyone considering membership or transferring membership who want to know more about what it means to be a Christian, a Presbyterian, and what it means to come to the Lord’s Table. Please note that one prerequisite of these classes is regular attendance at worship.
If you are interested in attending please let Philip know.

Cornhill Evening Bible Classes at Kilfennan PC: This evening course is designed to help folks understand the Bible better. Philip highly recommends this course and would love for people to sign up. Dates: January 14, 21, 28 & Feb 4th – Time:7:30-9:30pm, cost £25 but subsidies available. More information available from Philip or www.cornhillbelfast.org

Points for Prayer:

Please continue to pray for the Rev. Marty McNeely, his wife Julie and their children, Joshua and Martha. Marty will finish up his first course of treatment this week before chemo recommences on the 31st Dec.

Pray for those in our congregations who are ill.

Please let Philip know if there are any prayer requests you would like shared amongst our congregations/faith families.

As the congregations are aware for the last number of years we have been trying to get some extra help for Philip and sadly this has not materialised. However, as we seek to explore different avenues for additional help for the four congregations, the opportunity of having another minister for a period of 6 months has become possible. We are hoping that from January 2025 for a period of 6 months the Rev. Jon Dennis and his family from Canada will join with us. Please do pray for the paperwork and logistics which have to be ironed out over the coming weeks. This opportunity is being facilitated by a generous donation from CMI.

We are in search of an automatic car which could be borrowed by the Denis family for the duration of their stay, if anyone can help with this please contact Philip.

New Series Launch: Our new series “Surprised by Jesus” is now underway. The book this series is based on is available for €2, please do take a copy.
