Handling the Word Saturday 4th & 18th October 2014, 9.30am to 3.45pm in Leckpatrick Presbyterian Church. The course is designed for church members who wish to learn how to prepare and deliver a talk from the Bible. It would be useful for anyone who gives talks to a youth group, a Presbyterian Women meeting, a Men’s Breakfast as well as someone who might have the opportunity to preach a Sunday sermon. The course is normally a pre-requisite for the Accredited Preacher course but there is no obligation to progress to that scheme. The following topics will be covered: the Bible as the foundation, understanding and applying the Bible passage, structuring the talk and considering the hearers. A charge of £20 will be made to cover the expenses involved in running the course. Tea/coffee will be supplied but you should bring a packed lunch with you on the day.

To register please contact Rev Mark Russell by email: mark.russell261@btinternet.com or by telephone: 028 7188 4033 to request a registration form. Please register by 26th September
