Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.  A warm welcome to Rev Stanley Irwin who is conducting the service this morning.

 Service next Sunday will be conducted by Philip Leonard and will include an act of remembrance.

Poppy Appeal.  There will be a retiring offering today and over the next few Sunday’s in aid of the poppy appeal.

Greenbank Harvest Service will be held tonight at 7.30pm conducted by Rev. Alastair Rosborough.  Music by Donegal Presbytery choir followed by supper in the hall afterwards.  All welcome.

Committee Meeting scheduled for this Thursday (8th Nov) at 8pm.

An All Age Worship Night is being held in the Hillhead Hall, Carndonagh next Sunday 11th November at 7pm. Everyone Welcome to come along for an evening of Worship, Fellowship, sharing and of course tea/coffee!!!”

Bible Studies in Greenbank Hall for four churches led by

Roy Porter  The final bible study in the series is scheduled for Wednesday 14th Nov.

Rev Drew Abernethy  Next dates will be Wednesday 28th November & Wednesday 12th December.  Everyone very welcome.  All are at 8pm

Ordination of Elders. A commission of Presbytery met with the session on Tuesday evening with Mark & Gordon conferred as elders of Hillhead.  The proposed date of ordination is Sunday 13th January 2019 at 7pm

Advance Notice.  These Are My Mountains” presented by Robin Moran relating to his hillwalking experiences in Donegal & Scotland (complemented by stunning photographs)on Friday 16th November 2018 at 7.30pm in Fahan Presbyterian Church Hall. Neighbours and friends very welcome at this fundraising evening for Property Funds.

Pay at door €10 or £10. Supper served at mid way break.

Information from Rev A Rosborough regarding church membership classes (communicant classes)

Classes to begin in January (DV) and run through to late February or early March, in good time for admission to the Lord’s Table for Easter/ Spring Communion, depending on the practice of the particular congregation

Points for those considering membership:

  1. At least 14 years old (in their third year at ROI secondary school)
  2. Have sat in on at least one Communion service (not taking part, but observing what goes on) before the classes begin. If they haven’t done so, then they should be invited to the next Communion service.
  3. Have attended Sunday School and be familiar with the Lord’s Prayer and 10 commandments.
