YPC – Final night of YPC at Lisneal College @8pm tonight (8th Jan). Rick Hill, secretary for Council for Mission in Ireland is the speaker and Andy Lamberton is providing the music. Philip will be going down so if anyone is interested, particularly any young people, give Philip a shout and he can provide lifts or meet you there.

A Focus on the Issue of Abortion with Dawn McAvoy from the Evangelical Alliance and Co-founder of Both Lives Matter”. ‘This Special Meeting shall be led by a Presbytery Praise Group with Andy Lamberton and will focus on a Biblical Response to Crisis Pregnancy and Abortion.  Dawn will share an update on the current situation both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and how All Churches have an important role to play.

Philip to begin DMin Studies, 12th -27th January
 As part of his D.Min Studies Philip will travel to the USA this week and returning on Friday 27th January  Pastoral cover will be provided by the Rev. Alastair Rosborough and contact details are available from one of the elders.

Equip to Care: Pastoral care around gender identity and same sex attraction: Tuesday 31st  @ Donemana PC, 7:45-9:45pm (also Tuesday 14th March Assembly Buildings) This event is open to be attended by those interested in the church’s engagement with this vital issueThese events will include expert presentations from those who have significant experience in these issues from both a pastoral and theological perspective, and will allow for those attending to take time to reflect on and apply the principles of the guidance to their particular context.” The programme will hopefully be repeated in other venues for RoI congregations as well in the future. Spaces must be booked online, contact Philip asap to do so. Must be booked by 17th January.

Good as New Shop opening Monday 23rd January, beside Neil J. Doherty Auctioneers, Pound Street, Carndonagh in aid of Ard Aoibhinn Alzheimer’s Unit Carndonagh & Irish Guide Dogs. Open Monday to Saturday from 10am-5pm and will run for 4 weeks.

Greenbank New Year’s Dinner, Friday 27th January at 7pm @Greenbank hall.  A three-course meal will be served, with a choice of mains, which will be either roast beef or turkey. The cost is €20 per adult or €50 per family. Everyone welcome but booking is essential, as places will be limited. Please also state the main course choice for each person at the time of booking and any dietary requirements. Proceeds in aid of Greenbank property fund.
