Midweek Bible Study/Prayer meeting at the Manse this Wednesday 10th @ 8pm – Back to meeting at the manse for a time of study and prayer at the manse

In-Service Training: Every year for the first five years after ordination ministers are required to attend in-service training. Ministers are encouraged to take one of the Sunday’s either before or after off from normal duties to allow for a time of reflection. As such Philip will be in Belfast from Saturday 13th May to Thursday/Friday 18th/19th. He will be available in case of emergency through email or mobile.

Youth Fellowship at GREENBANK HALL, 7pm-8:30pm, Sunday 14th May: Chapter 9 of “Believe.” Anyone of secondary school age is welcome; come along for some food, fun and fellowship. **PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE to Greenbank Hall** Also please note in your diaries, 28th May down at Fahan

Good as New Shop:  The Good as New Shop (in aid of church funds) is now open for the next number of weeks (next door to Neal Doherty Auctioneers in Carndonagh).  The shop will be open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.  Donations of items to sell in the shop would be most appreciated.  Please let Sandra know if you are able to do a session or even a couple of hours or to come into shop in the evening to tidy up. 

EMAIL SCAM: Philp is aware of emails that have been sent out pretending to be him with a “request that I want you to deal with intimately concerning church activities.” Please do not respond to these emails and if you have any doubts about any correspondence received from Philip please do phone him.

Points for Prayer:

Pray for our young people. Some specific points might include the influence of culture on their faith, the impact of social media, fear to share and stand up for their faith and falling away from faith. 

Continue to pray for our church family and all the plans currently being made for summer and the rest of the year.

Community Outreach Worker/Helper UpdateSorry to announce that the candidate we interviewed for our CoW post has declined the position. We will be re-advertising this post in the coming weeks with an updated prospectus, but in the meantime please do continue to pray for the person of God’s chosen to take up this post.

Summer Assistant/Internship:
For the month of June we will be hosting a student from RTS (Reformed Theological Seminary Orlando – where Philip is doing his DMin). Lincoln will be sharing some ministerial duties with Philip as he works through his calling to ministry. 

Available Resources:

Just a reminder that Mark scripture Journals are still available and should be located at the entrances of the churches, €1 each.
New City Catechism (for kids) are also available free of charge make sure to take one and keep learning! If there aren’t any left please contact Philip! You can also access the New City Catechism online or download the app for your smartphone as well.
