Good as New Shop.  A Good as New shop will be running (on the main street in Carn) from 25th Feb for 5 weeks in aid of Donagh National School.

If anyone has things to contribute please drop them into the shop from that date onwards.

Equip to Care: Pastoral care around gender identity and same sex attraction: Tuesday 31st Donemanna PC, 7:45-9:45pm (also Tuesday 14th March Assembly Buildings) This event will not be advertised widely but is open to be attended by those interested in the church’s engagement with this vital issue. “These events will include expert presentations from those who have significant experience in these issues from both a pastoral and theological perspective, and will allow for those attending to take time to reflect on and apply the principles of the guidance to their particular context.” The programme will hopefully be repeated in other venues for RoI congregations as well in the future. PRESBYTERY EVENT: “BOTH LIVES MATTER!” WEDNESDAY 11th JANUARY @ 8PM in MAGHERAMASON CHURCH HALL

A Focus on the Issue of Abortion with Dawn McAvoy from the Evangelical Alliance and Co-founder of Both Lives Matter”. ‘This Special Meeting shall be led by a Presbytery Praise Group with Andy Lamberton and will focus on a Biblical Response to Crisis Pregnancy and Abortion.  Dawn will share an update on the current situation both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and how All Churches have an important role to play.

Philip to begin DMin Studies, 12th -26th January
Some of you may be aware that Philip has been allocated funding to start studying for a Doctorate of Ministry with Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando Florida. As part of this, he will travel to the USA once, possibly twice a year for classes using a combination of annual leave and agreed study leave with the Sessions.  During this time in January, pastoral cover will be provided by the Rev. Alastair Rosborough.
