Moderators appeal ‘Cyclone Adai Special Appeal’  The Moderator has launched a special church appeal for those affected by Cyclone Idai.  The cyclone which swept through Mozambique, Malawi & Zimbabwe a few weeks ago caused severe flooding and major loss of life.  The Presbyterian Church in Ireland will be sending an initial €69,192 to its partners working on the ground and has asked members to respond prayerfully and generously.  There will be a retiring offering today or you may place your donation in an envelope.

Social:  Thank you to all who came along and helped with the organisation of the Social on Friday night which was in aid of Patients Comfort fund Ard Aoibhinn Dementia Unit at Carndonagh Community Hospital.  Thank you to those who provided food and served the supper.

Good As New Shop.  The annual Good as New Shop in aid of church funds will open on Monday 13th May in Farren’s premises Pound street.  If you can fill a shift on the rota that would be great, please ring/text Helen or Sandra.  There will be a short meeting after the service next Sunday to discuss setting up the premises. Any items for sale would be most appreciated.

BLOOD DONATION CLINIC will be held on Wednesday and Thursday this week (1st & 2nd May) ..

United Easter Praise Service in Greenbank Hall on tonight at 7.30pm.  The service will be led by members of the 4 congregations and the format is music focused with soloists and singing group along with readings, poetry and epilogue by Rev David Latimer.  Retiring offering in aid of the Newmills team Burma Project.  Refreshments after the service.  Everyone very welcome.

Celebration of Easter: Praise Service at Greenbank next Sunday (Easter Day) at 7.30pm.  In preparation for this service there will be a practice in Greenbank on next Thursday evening at 7.30pm for anyone who would like to be part of praise group.

New communicants  Rev Latimer will meet with new communicants in Greenbank today @ 2,30pm. The class will finish no later than 4.30pm.

United Session meeting (4 churches) tomorrow Monday 15th April at 7.30pm in Greenbank

Easter Coffee Morning and Cake Stall in Fahan Presbyterian Church Hall on Wednesday 17th April from 11am to 1pm.There is no charge for admission or tea. Box for donations at door. Proceeds divided 50% to Romanian Ministries and 50% to Church Funds.

Good Friday Service (19th April) will be held in Hillhead Church at 8pm and will be conducted by Rev Drew Abernethy. Format will be readings and praise with epilogue

Come along to our easter formal, as we celebrate Jesus rising from the dead. It will be on Saturday 20th April 7pm at Ignite venue. There will be worship, a sharing of the Easter story with food and games after. A suggested donation for food is €10. The dress code is formal. We hope to see you there!

Please join us to give thanks to God for all the good things that have happened in the hall over the years before demolition begins at the end of the month and to pray God’s blessing on the construction of the new hall. If you have any photos of events that took place in the hall please could we borrow them. We need them by the evening of Friday 15th and you can leave them with Rev. Alison Gallagher at the Methodist manse.

REBOOT Belfast is on Saturday 23rd March. Last year Presbytery organised a bus to the event plus others went in cars. A bus is been organised again this year. It is an excellent event for young people to ask whatever questions they have about faith. Those who attended last year felt it was an excellent event both in purpose and organisation. To get an idea of the size of bus please let Maurice (083-1424205) or Austin (087-6811586) know if planning to attend to get an idea of numbers. There are a number of tickets available at a discounted rate.

A retiring offering will be taken up and the proceeds will go to the Newmills Presbyterian Church mission team led by Rev Gordon Best  who are travelling to Burma. Supper will be served afterwards in the hall. Everyone is very welcome.
