Announcements Sunday 10th July 2016

Service next Sunday will be conducted by Rev Stewart Glendinning

 Thank you to all the children who came along to the Holiday Bible club led by the New Mills team at Grennbank during the week.  Around 100 attended each evening.  Thank you to parents for their support and to the young people who helped the team in leading the sessions.  Thank you also to those who provided evening meals for the team each evening.

Announcements Sunday 3rd July

A very warm welcome back to Rev Gordon Best and the team from New Mills who are leading our service today and the holiday bible club at Greenbank this week.   ‘Sonrise National Park’ is for children of primary school age and each evening this week from 6-8pm there will be games, stories, puppets, crafts, drama and singing  A bus will run each evening from Malin.

Any young person (aged 15+ years old) who is interested in helping out with the Holiday Bible Club is asked to contact Barbara Smyth on 0876345407.

Thank you to all who came along to the BBQ yesterday evening to welcome the team.  Many thanks also to those who supplied, prepared and served the food.  A lovely evening was had by all.

 Prayer meetings will take place in the meeting room in Greenbank Hall from 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday this week. Please come along to pray for the work of the Holiday Bible Club.

 Gordon Best and the team will be leading the Holiday Bible Club again this year in Greenbank each evening next week (4th -8th July) from 6-8pm and from 6-8.30pm on Friday 8th for children of primary school age. There will be games, stories, puppets, crafts, drama and singing  A bus will run each evening from Malin.  A BBQ will be held at Hillhead on Saturday 2nd July to welcome the team at approx. 6pm.  Everyone is very welcome to come along and meet the team.

Prayer meeting in Moville on Wednesday evening at 8pm

Collection in aid of the Presbyterian Children’s Society.  If you are unable to contribute last Sunday you can do so over the next few weeks.

Evening of song and praise in Moville Methodist Hall this evening at 7.30pm, organised by the Methodist churches. A warm welcome is extended to everyone for an evening of singing old favourite hymns and contemporary songs. Tea/coffee afterwards.

Youth Fellowship will meet this evening at Issy’s Cottage from 7-9pm.  Everyone of secondary school age most welcome.

 

Coffee Morning: Everyone is welcome to a coffee morning been held in Hillhead Church Hall next Saturday the 4th June from 10am till 12:30pm in support of Exodus Team 37 going to Poland in July this summer. (Zoe Stewart going with team).  Cakes also on sale.

 

Children’s day Service will be held on Sunday 12th June.

Fundraising Quiz in aid of Relay for Life in Simpsons on Friday 20th May at 9.30pm.  Hillhead badminton members Donna Porter, Janice McCandless and Sandra Leeper are part of a group of badminton players from Co. Donegal taking part in the Relay For Life Event. All welcome.

 Message from Amy Stewart: I would like to thank all who came, supported and kindly donated to our Praise Night last Sunday in support of Exodus Team 41 going to Hungary. We have raised a total of €528 and £87.

 A Praise Service in support of Exodus Team 41 going to Hungary in which Amy Stewart is also going, will be held in the Hillhead Hall, Carndonagh this evening at 7pm. It promises to be an excellent evening of quality musical talent and joyful Worship. Light Refreshments afterwards gives an opportunity for fellowship and a chat with the team. Your attendance would be very much appreciated.

Teddy bear’s picnic in Greenbank Hall  on Saturday 14th May from 11am to 1pm for children of preschool age.  Come along & enjoy craft, games, face painting & food.  Viviane Bryson, ventriloquist and Cheryl with her singing puppets will be there to add to the fun on the day.

Congratulations to Kerry Doherty, Alexandra Smyth & Bethany Turner who were runners up in the Under 11 Girls team event of the Donegal Juvenile Badminton tournament held yesterday in the Aura Centre Letterkenny with teams from all of Donegal competing.  The girls were also runners up in the under 11 mixed team event.  Well Done!

Kid’s Club in Malin Church Hall next Saturday 30th April from 1.30-3pm

A coffee morning will be held next Saturday 30th  April from 11am to 2pm in Greenbank Hall, for Jade Diver who is going to volunteer in Fiji for two months with Think Pacific. She will be helping with a building project as well as teaching & coaching children in a village on a rural island that has been destroyed by the recent Cyclone Winston. All proceeds raised will go towards building supplies etc for the building project.  All welcome.
