Classes continue this afternoon in the Manse from 4—5.30pm for anyone interested in finding out about becoming a communicant and full membership of the church. 

Blood donors needed in Carndonagh. A mobile unit from The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will be at Carndonagh Community School this  Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th Oct from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Youth club will meet in Malin Church Hall on Thursday evening from 7.30-9.30pm. As this is the first meeting of the year for the Youth Club there will be information & discussion with regard to arranging events, crafts & outings for the next few months.  It is planned to go to Bowling on Thursday 30th –bus will leave Malin at 4.15pm.  More details on Thursday.

Junior badminton recommences on Thursday 16th from 6-8pm

Ladies Badminton recommences on Thursday 16th from 11am

Youth Badminton recommences on Saturday 18th from 8-10pm

Harvest thanksgiving service in Malin Church of Ireland tonight at 7pm

Taking Care are organising a talk on Self-Harm : the hidden harm and the churches’ response, in Kilfennan Presbyterian Church on Saturday 18th October, from 10.30am – 12.30pm.  Full details about the speaker, Cathy Bell, and how to register for the event are available on the poster in the porch.

A Social will be held in the Hall on Friday 24th October.  Music by Country Style. Dancing from 9.30pm –1.30am.  Tickets €6 including supper

Thank you to all who provided flowers & produce for our harvest services today and many thanks also to those who came along to decorate the church.  It is looking splendid.

Thanks also to all who are participating in the service today–your preparation and commitment is much appreciated.  Thank you to the children for their gifts for the James Connolly Centre and thanks to Bethany and the musicians for providing the music.

 

Our evening Harvest thanksgiving service will be held this evening at 7pm and will be conducted by Rev Aliaster Rosborough. Soloist will be Bethany Moore.  Supper served in the Hall after the service.  Offering will be in aid of the united appeal.  It would be great to see a good turnout for the service this evening.

Harvest thanksgiving services in Hillhead next Sunday at 10.30am and at 7pm.   In morning service will be conducted by Rev Stewart Glendinning and the children will bring their gifts for the James Connolly Centre.  Evening service will be conducted by Rev Alister Rosborough and soloist will be Bethany Moore.  Supper served in the Hall after the service. Everyone welcome.

In preparation for the services next Sunday there will be a short meeting after the service today.

Donegal), to assist the expenses while attending secondary schools and third level institutions. Application forms are now available from Rev Stewart Glendinning. Closing date for applications is 4th Oct 2014.

Ulster Rugby – Tickets to the Ulster v Glasgow in Kingspan Stadium (formerly Ravenhill, Belfast) on Saturday 11th  October 2014 (K.O. 17:05pm) are available. West Terrace £16.20, Family Terrace £13.50 for adults and £9 for under 16’s.  This is in advance of Tuesday 18th Nov when some of the Ulster players will come to the Millennium Forum to share their stories. Please contact Rev S Glendinning if you would like a ticket. Tickets must be paid for by this Wed 1st Oct.

Handling the Word – Saturday 4th & 18th October 2014, 9.30am to 3.45pm in Leckpatrick Presbyterian Church. The course is designed for church members who wish to learn how to prepare and deliver a talk from the Bible. It would be useful for anyone who gives talks to a youth group, a Presbyterian Women meeting, a Men’s Breakfast as well as someone who might have the opportunity to preach a Sunday sermon.  A charge of £20 will be made to cover the expenses involved in running the course. The last of the IEB music & friendship evenings will be held tonight in Tul na Ri at 8.15pm with popular worship songs by Neil Shaw.  Speaker: Ricky Henry.

Tyrone-Derry and Donegal Action (TDDA) are hosting a residential event to explore the ‘Role of Religion’ in terms of inter-church activity and peace-building work. These residentials will be overnight from Thursday 11th – Friday 12th September and Thursday 18th – Friday 19th September. Both residential stays will be in Harvey’s Point Hotel, Donegal Town, Lough Eske, Co. Donegal. A detailed intinerary will follow however, we would expect participants to arrive on both Thursday mornings from 10am and to depart after lunch on both Fridays. There is no cost to participants. All meals are included. Twin rooms will be allocated on a shared basis however, those wishing to use a single room will be required to pay a single supplement themselves. CMYF(youth fellowship) are having a ITS A KNOCKOUT(beach games) and BARBECUE on the far beach Culdaff next Saturday 23rd Aug at 7pm. Everyone of Secondary School Age is welcome to come along, the cost is €5.
